1. ABSENTEEISM refers to an employee missing work.
2. Productivity for DEPRESSIVE SYMPTOMS, ANXIETY SYMPTOMS & STRESS have been calculated using the Work Productivity and Activity Impairment Questionnaire (WPAI).
3. WORKPLACE DISCRIMINATION AND HARASSMENT refers to unwanted conduct which humiliates an individual, violates their dignity or intimidates others.
4. WORKPLACE BULLYING includes criticism, social isolation, humiliation, joking, and excessive monitoring of an employee.
METHOD:
1. Since the WPAI assesses hours of work missed and work impairment, i.e. absenteeism and presenteeism, a directly inverse relationship between the two factors and productivity is assumed.
2. The base productivity level, at 10% of the factor, is assumed to be 90%.
3. Productivity for Workplace Ostracism, Workplace Discrimination and Harassment, and Workplace Bullying are calculated using a job productivity scale by Oswald et al. (2015; as cited in Anjum, et al., 2018).
